Mission/
Specific Program Goals:
To help hunger-relief agencies in Union, Wallowa, Baker and Grant Counties. In turn, those agencies provide food to low-income families. They do their work with dignity and the hope of a better tomorrow. Community Connections of Northeast Oregon is the Regional Food Bank serving all of Union, Wallowa, Baker and Grant counties in Eastern Oregon. We distribute food to congregate meal sites, shelters and food box programs. We provide opportunities for people to be more self-sufficient through education and hands-on training programs. In 2004-05, we distributed 802,000 pounds of food throughout our quad-county service area. Community Connection is also committed to increasing public awareness about hunger and its root causes. We're part of a statewide network of hunger-relief agencies.
